Drawing-to-cover quote

Automatic pool cover coordination for new and existing pools

An automatic cover is a project-specific system, not a standard accessory. Pool geometry, skimmer or overflow construction, pit and track conditions, electrical requirements and local installation capability must be aligned before production.

What contractors are really trying to avoid

Finding products is easy. The hard part is turning drawings, BOM lines and several factories into one package that arrives right, complete and on time.

  1. The project risk01

One project can mean chasing eight or more suppliers.

    How PoolProject reduces it

We coordinate specialized factories through one China-side point of contact.

  2. The project risk02

The lowest quote becomes expensive when voltage, sizing or connections are wrong.

    How PoolProject reduces it

We organize drawings and BOM data, flag gaps and freeze approved specifications before production.

  3. The project risk03

Fragmented replies slow down your quotation and tender.

    How PoolProject reduces it

We structure the open questions, models, quantities, documents and lead times into one reviewable package.

  4. The project risk04

Quality, missing parts and shipment readiness are hard to see from abroad.

    How PoolProject reduces it

We define order-specific checks, evidence, packing records and consolidation before handover.

Where this service fits

  • New villa, hotel or compound pools with cover requirements included in the design
  • Retrofit projects where site conditions and available space can be documented
  • Pool contractors able to manage local measurement, installation and commissioning

What to prepare before WhatsApp

  1. 01Country, city and project type
  2. 02Skimmer or overflow pool; new build or retrofit
  3. 03Plan and section, or length, width, corner details and clear photos
  4. 04Preferred operating arrangement, available power and required project date
  5. 05Slat material and colour preference, plus any chiller or heating equipment in the project

How the cover behaves in Gulf conditions

A cover cannot cool a pool. What it can do depends on the water-treatment equipment already in the project scope.

  • Pools without cooling equipment

Specify opaque or reflective slats, never a transparent bubble cover. Water stays close to uncovered temperature while evaporation and dust load drop. Cover use through peak summer should be agreed with the pool operator rather than assumed.

  • Pools with a chiller

The strongest combination. Once water is held below ambient, a closed cover reduces heat gain and evaporation, so the chiller runs fewer hours. Confirm chiller duty and the control interface alongside the cover supply.

  • Pools heated in winter

From roughly November to March, inland projects run the classic case: the closed cover keeps heat in overnight and cuts heater running cost. State whether a heat pump is inside the project scope.

How the project moves

  1. 1

    Input check

We review whether the available drawing or dimensions are sufficient to start technical coordination.

  2. 2

    Configuration alignment

Track, mechanism, fabric, pit and control requirements are discussed against the actual pool condition.

  3. 3

    Drawing approval and design freeze

Where a confirmation drawing applies, the buyer approves the final information before production starts.

Scope and responsibility boundaries

  • Final dimensions, pit readiness, drainage, power supply and structural suitability must be verified locally.
  • Installation, electrical connection, commissioning and user training are performed by the buyer's qualified local team unless contracted separately.
  • Any safety or regulatory statement applies only when supported by documentation for the exact quoted model and configuration.
  • Fabric and slats are wear parts under Gulf sun; replacement intervals depend on use, and warranty terms including any pro-rated period apply as written in the quotation.
  • Changes after drawing approval may affect price, lead time or technical feasibility.

Frequently asked questions

Will a cover make the pool water hotter?

A transparent bubble cover will, because it is built to add heat, which makes it the wrong product for a Gulf summer. Opaque slats block solar gain at the same time as they reduce evaporation, so water stays close to uncovered temperature. No cover cools a pool; on a chilled pool it lowers the chiller's running hours instead.

Can an automatic cover be supplied for an overflow pool?

Potentially, but overflow geometry and track or pit integration need project-specific review. Send the plan and section rather than relying on a generic model selection.

What is needed for a retrofit pool?

Clear dimensions, photos of the pool perimeter and plant or mechanism area, construction details and information about available power are useful starting inputs.

When does production begin?

Production should begin only after the quotation scope and any required confirmation drawing or dimensional record are approved in writing.
